Our Story
Born out of the Mayor’s Office in 2016 and through a partnership between Oakland Unified School District and East Bay College Fund, Oakland Promise was built on one belief:
Every Oakland child can graduate and build wealth.
Since our inception in 2016, Oakland Promise has supported nearly 4,800 scholars through college and career pathways.
