The East Oakland Promise Neighborhood (EOPN), led by Oakland Promise, is a community-driven initiative utilizing a collective impact model
Its mission is to cultivate a thriving, joyful, and safe East Oakland community where every student succeeds, families are empowered to achieve their dreams, and all residents experience deep connection, belonging, and lasting opportunity. EOPN is committed to supporting community-driven growth across a 2.5-square-mile area encompassing 11 neighborhoods in East Oakland to improve outcomes for children and families.
EOPN MISSION
The mission of the East Oakland Promise Neighborhood (EOPN) is to cultivate a thriving, joyful, and safe community where every student succeeds, families are empowered to achieve their dreams, and all residents experience deep connection, belonging, and lasting opportunity in East Oakland.
East Oakland Promise Neighborhood aims to:
Ensure every child enters kindergarten ready to learn and graduates high school college- and career-ready.
Increase family stability through access to wraparound services.
Reduce chronic absenteeism and promote school safety.
Strengthen coordination between schools and community-based organizations in the EOPN.

EOPN services are located in 4 schools in East Oakland
EOPN Services cover 11 neighborhoods serving over 41,299 people
Among those 41,299 people, 10,239 are children under the age of 18
