Brilliant Baby is one of Oakland Promise's flagship early learning programs, and one of the most impactful investments we make in Oakland's youngest children and their families.
Through the program, every eligible Oakland infant receives a $500 college savings account, while caregivers receive financial education, financial incentives, and community support to help grow these early investments into bright futures.

Brilliant Baby College Savings Benefit
Each child enrolled in Brilliant Baby receives a 529 College Savings Account with an initial $500 deposit. The account is managed by my529, one of the nation’s leading college savings providers. Over time, these funds can grow and help support the cost of the child’s future education and post-secondary opportunities.
